USAgNet - 07/30/2021

Production of fuel ethanol in the United States decreased once again last week and for the second week helped let ending stocks grow, according to data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration on Wednesday, July 28.

Production remained above 1 million barrels per day for the 11th consecutive week, decreasing 1% for the week ending July 23 to an average of 1,014,000 barrels per day from 1,028,000 barrels per day the previous week.

This represents a six-week low in ethanol production.

Meanwhile weekly U.S. ethanol ending stocks climbed to 22.733 million barrels last week — representing an increase of less than 1% from 22.518 million barrels the week before.
