The winter wheat crop is making average progress and remains in good condition for this time of year despite the wet weather, according to the USDA NASS Great Lakes Regional Office. As of June 1, the United States yield is forecast at 48.4 bushels per acre, up 0.3 bushel from last month but down 1.8 bushels from last year's average yield of 50.2 bushels per acre.
