Draft Permits, Public Meeting Cancelled for Phat Chix Poultry

The Ohio Department of Agriculture (ODA) announced that, due to proposed changes by the owner in the original draft Permit to Install (PTI) and the draft Permit to Operate (PTO) that was issued for the facility called "Phat Chix Poultry, LLC", the draft permits have been cancelled at this time. The open house and public meeting that was to be held on Sept. 28 is also cancelled. The facility is proposed to be located at 6200 Hudson Drive SW, Navarre, in Stark County, Bethlehem Township, in the Tuscarawas watershed.

The Ohio Department of Agriculture will issue a new public notice, including a new date and location for an open house and public meeting, if a new draft Permit to Install and draft Permit to Operate has been issued.

The Division of Livestock Environmental Permitting maintains an "interested parties" list for each Ohio County and well as a statewide list for notification of all draft permits.
