Pelanda to Visit Leeds Today to Discuss Planting Crisis
Ohio Ag Connection - 06/25/2019

Ohio Agriculture Director Dorothy Pelanda will meet with Central Ohio farmers at one of the area's most popular pumpkin farms to discuss the historical planting struggles June 25 at 2:30 p.m.

The above average rainfall has flooded fields, hampering the ability to plant crops and creating a livestock feed crisis.

Leeds Farm, 8738 Marysville Rd., Ostrander, has been unable to plant any pumpkins so far this year.

Director Pelanda will see the situation firsthand, then sit down and talk with the Leeds family and other area farmers about the devastating weather effects.
