A Decade of Women Leading Agriculture

A Decade of Women Leading Agriculture

By Andi Anderson

The annual East Ohio Women in Agriculture (WIA) Conference will take place on March 21 in Wooster. Running from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., the event marks the 10th anniversary of this important gathering for women involved in agriculture.

Organizers are preparing the largest WIA conference yet, offering more opportunities for learning, networking, and professional growth.

The conference will feature expert-led discussions on key agricultural topics, business strategies, and industry challenges. Participants will have the chance to connect with peers, gain valuable insights, and explore ways to enhance their agricultural businesses and careers.

In addition to the in-person event, the Women in Agriculture team is launching a series of monthly webinars. The first session will take place on February 5 at 10:30 a.m. and will cover "Beating the Winter Blues." These webinars aim to provide ongoing education and support for women in agriculture throughout the year.

Women interested in attending the conference or participating in the webinars can find more information on the event’s official website.

The conference continues to be a vital platform for empowering women in the farming community, fostering connections, and sharing valuable knowledge.

By celebrating a decade of impact, the East Ohio WIA Conference reaffirms its commitment to supporting women in agriculture, helping them navigate industry challenges, and promoting leadership opportunities in the field.
