Fendt Harvest Tour Brings Technology and Farming Together

Fendt Harvest Tour Brings Technology and Farming Together

By Andi Anderson

The 2026 Fendt Harvest Tour is bringing farmers, technology, and innovation together through an 11-stop journey across six states in the heart of American agriculture. Organized by AGCO, the tour provides farmers with an opportunity to experience advanced harvesting equipment in real field conditions while showcasing the people and operations behind a successful harvest season.

The tour will travel through Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, and North Dakota, visiting working farms and demonstrating the latest harvesting technologies. Each stop features a local farming operation where growers can see modern equipment perform in actual harvest environments.

At the center of the tour is the Fendt IDEAL combine, a machine designed to improve harvesting efficiency and productivity. Farmers will have the opportunity to see how advanced technology can help simplify operations, reduce labor demands, and improve harvesting performance.

Several innovative features are being showcased during the tour. The IDEALdrive joystick steering system improves visibility and operator comfort, helping reduce fatigue during long harvest days. The combine also features a large grain tank that unloads quickly, allowing operators to continue harvesting efficiently during narrow harvest windows.

Another key technology is IDEALharvest automation, which continuously adjusts machine settings to help maintain grain quality and optimize performance. This automated approach allows farmers to focus more on field management while reducing the need for constant equipment adjustments.

The technology demonstration extends beyond the combine itself. PTx OutRun autonomy enables grain carts to move alongside harvesting equipment without requiring an additional driver, helping address labor shortages during busy harvest periods. Precision Planting’s YieldSense monitoring system provides valuable data about crop performance, allowing farmers to better understand the productivity of different crop varieties. In addition, AI-powered tools help connect farm data and support informed decision-making.

According to Kevin Forth, Senior Tactical Marketing Manager at AGCO, the harvest season is the ultimate test of agricultural technology.

“Harvest is where a full year of work comes together, and it’s where Fendt technology proves itself in the moments that matter most,” said Kevin Forth, Senior Tactical Marketing Manager at AGCO. “The Fendt Harvest Tour highlights hardworking farm families and shows how performance, efficiency and operator-focused innovation can make a real difference in the field.”

The tour also celebrates farming families who open their fields and share their harvest experiences. Each location provides local growers with an opportunity to learn from peers while observing advanced harvesting solutions in action.

Beyond displaying machinery, the event emphasizes AGCO’s farmer-focused approach to innovation. The goal is to help producers reduce operating costs, improve efficiency, and make better use of data-driven technologies that support long-term success.

Farmers and agriculture enthusiasts can follow the tour online through social media platforms and dedicated digital content. The tour offers a unique look at real-world harvesting operations while highlighting how modern agricultural technology continues to transform farming practices.

By combining practical demonstrations, advanced automation, and farmer experiences, the 2026 Fendt Harvest Tour showcases the growing role of technology in modern agriculture and the future of efficient crop production.
