Honoring Agricultural Excellence in Fulton County


The 2023 inductees to the Fulton County Agricultural Hall of Fame were recently announced. The purpose of the Hall of Fame is to recognize selected farmers or agribusiness leaders from Fulton County who have committed over 25 years or more of service to the agricultural industry in our county, state, or region.

The 2023 inductees are:

  • Gary Brehm, a lifelong dairy farmer from Swancreek Township.
  • Thomas A Herr Sr., a farmer and community leader from Amboy Township.
  • Jack Lugbill, the longtime owner and operator of Brookview Farm Meats and BBQ.
  • Don Williams, a longtime supporter of the Fulton County Fairgrounds and agricultural producers.

Gary Brehm:

Gary Brehm is a lifelong dairy farmer from Swancreek Township. He grew up on the family farm and has been involved in agriculture since he was a young child. Gary graduated from Ohio State University with a degree in dairy science and then returned to the family farm to help his father and brother. Gary has been a dedicated dairy farmer for over 50 years. He has been involved in many aspects of the dairy industry, including milk production, marketing, and education. Gary is also a strong advocate for agriculture and has served on numerous boards and committees.

Thomas A Herr Sr.:

Thomas A Herr Sr. is a farmer and community leader from Amboy Township. He has been farming in Fulton County for over 70 years and is a past president of the Fulton County Farm Bureau. Tom is also a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church and the Catholic War Veterans. Tom is a dedicated farmer and has been involved in many aspects of agriculture, including crop production, livestock raising, and conservation. He is also a strong advocate for agriculture and has served on numerous boards and committees.

Jack Lugbill:

Jack Lugbill is the longtime owner and operator of Brookview Farm Meats and BBQ. He has been in the meat business for over 40 years and is a past president of the Ohio Association of Meat Processors. Jack is also a member of the Fulton County Cattlemen's Association and the Henry County Cattlemen's Association.

Jack is a dedicated businessman and has been a strong supporter of agriculture. He is also a strong advocate for youth and has hosted many 4-H and FFA events at Brookview Farm Meats and BBQ.

Don Williams:

Don Williams is a longtime supporter of the Fulton County Fairgrounds and agricultural producers. He has served on the Fulton County Fair Board for 15 years and was instrumental in the development of Spangler Arena. Don is also a past president of the Fulton County Farm Bureau.

Don is a dedicated volunteer and has been a strong supporter of agriculture. He is also a strong advocate for youth and has helped to raise money for many 4-H and FFA programs.

The 2023 Fulton County Agricultural Hall of Fame inductees are all dedicated farmers, agribusiness leaders, and volunteers who have made significant contributions to the agricultural industry in Fulton County. They are a testament to the hard work and dedication of the people who work in agriculture and who help to ensure that our food supply is safe and abundant.
