Ohio Agricultural Council Launches Scholarships

By Andi Anderson

The Ohio Agricultural Council (OAC) is taking a significant step to nurture the next generation of leaders in the agricultural sector. With the introduction of its scholarship program for the 2024-2025 academic year, OAC reiterates its commitment to the growth and advancement of agriculture in Ohio.

Chris Henney, the President of OAC, emphasizes the council's dedication to empowering Ohio's youth. These scholarships are an investment in the educational and professional development of future agricultural experts. OAC is searching for passionate individuals who demonstrate a commitment to agriculture and a desire to make a positive impact in their communities.

High school seniors poised to enter college and current undergraduates with an interest in agriculture can apply. Eligibility extends to Ohio residents or those whose parent or guardian resides in Ohio. The selection criteria focus on academic achievements, leadership skills, community engagement, and the quality of responses to essay questions in the application.

Beyond financial assistance, scholarship recipients gain a complimentary one-year student membership in the Ohio Agricultural Council. This membership opens doors to networking with industry professionals, attending events, and acquiring insights into the agricultural field.

The deadline for application submission is February 15, 2024. This opportunity is not just a scholarship; it's a steppingstone to a flourishing career in agriculture and a chance to contribute significantly to Ohio's rich agricultural legacy.
