Food and Energy Workshops are coming to Lake County Fairgrounds in Painesville Township on April 30, 2023, organized by the Lake Effect Chapter of the Ohio Ecological Food and Farm Association. The event will start with an organic vegan wrap, cookies, and beverages while supplies last.

The workshops will begin at 12:20 pm with a presentation by the Ohio Ecological Food and Farm Association on the importance of organic food for our health and the planet. The Homesteading 101 program will be presented by John from Red Beet Row, covering orchards, gardens, livestock, and earthworks.

Tom and Valerie from A's and O's Farm will present "Solar Energy Applications for Home, Farm, and Business," showcasing how to become energy independent using solar panels and electric vehicles. Lastly, Steve from Bat Barn Farm will present "Fermentation and the Preservation of Local Food," where attendees will learn how to turn vegetables into fermented foods.

The event costs $10 to register, and the registration deadline is April 27. Participants will be provided with food and jars. For more information and registration, visit the Lake Effect Chapter's website or contact Valerie at 440-231-0842. This event is an excellent opportunity to learn about organic food, renewable energy, and food fermentation.
