Ohio's farmers and small businesses face numerous expenses, including health care coverage, but thanks to the Ohio Farm Bureau Health Benefits Plan, affordable options are within reach. Recently updated to include sole proprietors, this plan offers rate stability and potential savings on health care expenses, providing a smart solution for those in the agricultural economic sector.

Mike Bailey, senior vice president of operations & partnerships with Ohio Farm Bureau, expressed optimism about the expanded accessibility of the Health Benefits Plan, stating, "We hope that the Health Benefits Plan will continue to become an even more valuable business solution which is now more readily available to sole proprietors throughout the agricultural economic sector." Notably, these updates will not impact existing employer groups or enrolled members' benefits.

Designed to ensure financial protection and offer competitive rates, the Ohio Farm Bureau Health Benefits Plan operates through a self-funded arrangement, providing fixed, predictable monthly payments. With various plan designs, including PPO Deductible with Coinsurance and HSA High Deductible plans, members can choose options that best suit their needs.

The plan also features Anthem's extensive provider network and Rx formulary, enhancing accessibility to quality health care services. Additionally, businesses enrolled in the plan are safeguarded from financial liability if they choose to leave the plan.

Available to sole proprietors and employers with up to 50 employees headquartered in Ohio, the Ohio Farm Bureau Health Benefits Plan aims to support farms and small businesses by offering comprehensive health coverage solutions. Interested parties can access FAQs, obtain quotes, and learn more about the plan's benefits by visiting the Health Benefits Plan Member Resources Page on the Ohio Farm Bureau website.

Through the Ohio Farm Bureau Health Benefits Plan, sole proprietors, farmers, and small businesses can now access affordable health coverage options, empowering them to protect their well-being while focusing on their agricultural pursuits.
