Ohio Farm Bureau Launches New Ambassadors Scholarship Program

Ohio Farm Bureau Launches New Ambassadors Scholarship Program

By Andi Anderson

The Ohio Farm Bureau Foundation has announced the launch of a new and prestigious scholarship program called the Ohio Farm Bureau Ambassadors Scholarship.

This premier scholarship is designed to support outstanding students who show strong academic performance, active community involvement, and a clear commitment to careers that strengthen Ohio agriculture.

The scholarship provides one renewable award of $10,000. Students may renew the award for up to three additional years, allowing a total potential support of up to $40,000 per recipient.

The program is intended to help students pursue degrees in agriculture or agriculture-related fields while also encouraging leadership development and community engagement.

Recipients of the Ambassadors Scholarship are selected to serve as ambassadors for the Ohio Farm Bureau Foundation. They are expected to represent the foundation’s core values, including integrity, dedication, and a commitment to creating lasting positive impact across Ohio communities.

Doug Miller, president of the Ohio Farm Bureau Foundation Board of Directors, shared the importance of this new initiative:

“This scholarship represents a significant investment in the future of Ohio agriculture,” said Doug Miller, president of the Ohio Farm Bureau Foundation Board of Directors. “Scholarships have always been one of the most powerful ways we can support young people, and the Ambassadors Scholarship allows us to make a deeper, longer-term impact. By increasing the level of support, we are empowering students not only to succeed academically, but to lead, serve and shape the future of agriculture in Ohio.”

Kelly Burns, executive director of the Ohio Farm Bureau Foundation, also highlighted the growth of the organization and the importance of the new scholarship:

“The Ohio Farm Bureau Foundation continues to grow in both reach and impact, and the addition of the Ambassadors Scholarship is a clear reflection of that progress,” she said. “Our board of directors has worked incredibly hard to make this scholarship a reality. Their dedication ensures we can provide transformational opportunities for students who will carry Ohio agriculture forward.”

The application deadline for the Ambassadors Scholarship is February 28, 2026. Each year, the Ohio Farm Bureau Foundation offers 17 scholarships that support students and adults pursuing agriculture-related education. County Farm Bureaus across Ohio also provide additional local scholarships.

Students interested in applying can find more information and application details at ofbf.org/scholarships. For additional questions, applicants may contact Kelly Warner at kwarner@ofbf.org.

This new scholarship program strengthens opportunities for students and supports the future growth and success of Ohio agriculture.
