The Ohio Farm Bureau Federation has announced its newest Young Agricultural Professionals State Committee members.
Selected for their leadership potential, Farm Bureau involvement, and community service, the new members will contribute to shaping the future of Ohio agriculture.
The 2025 committee members include Katherine and Bill Brown from Stark County, Abby and Blake Campbell from Washington County, Josh Ison from Clermont County, and Hannah Thompson from Meigs County. These individuals will help plan the Young Ag Professionals Winter Leadership Experience and other in- and out-of-state events.
The Browns farm in Louisville, Ohio, operating a dairy and growing crops like corn, soybeans, and alfalfa. Bill is a full-time farmer and former county Farm Bureau president, while Katherine works as a partnership manager in ag retail and serves on the Stark County Farm Bureau Board of Trustees.
The Campbells run a fourth-generation sheep and swine farm in Waterford, Ohio. In addition to being agricultural educators and FFA advisors, they market meat, wool, and other products directly to consumers. Abby recently won the 2024 Ohio Farm Bureau Discussion Meet competition.
Josh Ison and his wife, Sarah, farm 200 acres, raising livestock and poultry for direct-to-consumer sales under their brand, Flourish & Roam. Ison, a graduate of the AgriPOWER Leadership Institute, also works in ag biotechnology and serves on the Clermont County Farm Bureau board.
Hannah Thompson, an agriculture educator at Meigs High School, grew up on a family farm in southeastern Ohio. Active in 4-H and local agriculture initiatives, she also serves as vice president of the Athens-Meigs County Farm Bureau Board of Trustees.
These leaders will host the Young Ag Professionals Winter Leadership Experience on Feb. 7-8 at Kalahari in Sandusky, Ohio. The event offers networking, educational sessions, and career development opportunities for young agriculturalists.
Through these efforts, the Ohio Farm Bureau continues its mission of advancing agriculture and strengthening communities across the state.
