Ohio grape growers and wine producers are encouraged to take part in an important statewide survey designed to support the future of the grape and wine industry.
Time is running out to complete the Ohio Grape and Wine Producer’s Survey, with the deadline set for today, March 31, 2026.
This survey is open to all types of operations, including vineyards, wineries, and businesses that operate as both. Producers of every size are encouraged to participate, as each response helps create a clearer picture of the industry. Whether an operation is large, small, new, or well established, every voice matters.
The goal of the survey is to gather accurate and useful information that can help shape future educational programs and business resources. The collected data will support improvements not only in crop production but also in business operations, planning, and long-term growth. All survey responses are confidential, ensuring that sensitive information is protected.
The project is being conducted through a partnership involving researchers from The Ohio State University Extension’s Business, Retention, and Expansion team.
They are working closely with The Ohio State University’s Department of Horticulture and Crop Science, the Ohio Department of Agriculture’s Ohio Grape Industries Committee, and the Ohio Wine Producers Association.
This collaboration ensures the survey reflects the real needs of the industry.
Results from the survey will help identify strengths, challenges, and opportunities within Ohio’s grape and wine sector. The findings will guide decisions related to training, technical assistance, marketing support, and infrastructure development.
By understanding current conditions, organizations can design programs that better serve producers and encourage industry expansion.
Producers who have already started the survey but have not finished are encouraged to complete their responses as soon as possible. Those who have not yet begun are urged to participate before the deadline. Completing the survey helps ensure that future programs and investments reflect real industry priorities.
The Ohio grape and wine industries play an important role in agriculture, tourism, and rural development. Participation in this survey is a simple but powerful way for producers to influence future support and resources.
Additional details and access to the survey are available through the official project information. Producers are encouraged to act now and make their voices heard.
