97% of Ohio Soybeans Planted


The USDA says farmers nearly wrapped up corn and soybean planting in Ohio last week.

Ninety-seven percent of soybeans are planted with 88 percent emerged. The crop is rated 55 percent good to excellent.

Ninety-three percent of the state’s corn crop has emerged and is rated 57 percent good to excellent.

Winter wheat is rated 59 percent good to excellent with 94 percent of the crop headed and 15 percent mature.
