Farmers unite for organic research growth

Farmers unite for organic research growth

By Andi Anderson

The Ohio Organic Farmer Research Network (OOFRN) invites organic farmers, researchers, and enthusiasts to an engaging webinar aimed at fostering collaboration and innovation in organic farming research. The event will explore a farmer-led working group model to guide future projects and proposals.

The meeting will focus on developing a structured approach for farmer-led collaboration, sharing research ideas, and gathering feedback from active participants.

This initiative encourages active involvement, offering a platform for farmers to share insights, suggest project ideas, and discuss ways to advance organic farming practices.

The webinar welcomes participants of all backgrounds, with no prior experience necessary—just an interest in organic farming and research.

It’s an excellent opportunity to network with like-minded individuals, contribute to the future of organic agriculture, and learn more about potential research initiatives.

The event will take place on December 5 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM via Zoom. Hosted by The Ohio State University (OSU), this session aims to expand the network’s reach and include more voices in shaping the direction of organic farming research.

Participants are encouraged to bring their ideas or simply attend to learn and contribute. If you know someone passionate about organic farming research, feel free to invite them to join.

Together, this collaborative effort can strengthen organic farming and develop innovative solutions for the community.

For more information and to join the event, visit the official OOFRN website at offer.osu.edu/oofrn. Let’s come together to make a meaningful impact on organic agriculture.
