Group Membership Spotlight: Seldom Seen Farm

Every one of our members is unique and so are their stories. Each week, the Group Member Spotlight takes a behind-the-scenes look at one of our group/business sponsorship members to showcase their story of who they are and what they do!

Kevin and Morgan Holy originally purchased their farm as a retirement horse property for Morgan’s show horse, Seldom Seen, in 2008. In 2013 the Holys started making syrup with 10 trees and a turkey fryer and fell in love with their new found hobby. Soon after, they made the move to turn that hobby into a business. Kevin and Morgan are first generation farmers with big dreams, and in 2021 the Holys became full time farmers with maple products being their main source of income. Kevin and Morgan and their two children, Chase and Cora, produce some of the world’s finest products and enjoy coming up with new product ideas for consumers all over the country.

As their business (in addition to maple) grew, they added more and more trees. Fast forward from making only 1 gallon of syrup in 2008 to now, they have thousands of maple trees and ship and distribute their products nationwide. Their turning point was in 2021 when they won Grand Champion maple producer for their traditional maple syrup and 2022 Grand Champion value added for their Bourbon Barrel Aged Maple Syrup at the Geauga County Maple Festival.
