NMPF Hosts Webinar on Immigration Compliance for Dairy Employers

By Andi Anderson

The National Milk Producers Federation (NMPF) is hosting an informative webinar to help dairy employers understand their legal rights and responsibilities regarding immigration enforcement.

This session aims to provide valuable insights on preparing for and responding to enforcement actions, including I-9 audits and workplace visits, while ensuring compliance with federal regulations.

The webinar will feature expert speakers, including Leon Sequeira, an attorney specializing in employment and immigration law.

Sequeira has extensive experience advising employers on regulatory compliance and defending businesses during government investigations.

Jaime Castaneda, NMPF’s Executive Vice President for Policy & Strategy, will also share insights on domestic policy and international trade. With over 35 years in agriculture, he has worked with USDA and other key organizations to support dairy industry initiatives.

Paul Bleiberg, NMPF’s Executive Vice President for Government Relations, will provide policy updates related to immigration and labor issues affecting dairy farms. He has played a crucial role in strengthening dairy safety nets and sustainability programs through legislative efforts.

This webinar is specifically designed for cooperative staff, dairy farmers, and associate members affiliated with NMPF. Registration is required, and participation is limited to NMPF members.

Attendees will gain actionable steps to safeguard their workforce and ensure compliance with evolving immigration policies. This session is a must-attend for dairy industry professionals looking to stay informed and proactive in managing labor and legal challenges.
