Noble County Farm Bureau members gathered for their 2026 annual meeting at Floral Hall on the Noble County Fairgrounds in Caldwell. The meeting brought together local farmers, landowners, and agricultural supporters to discuss important issues affecting the farming community and to help shape future policy priorities.
The event was led by Jason Feldner, Noble County Farm Bureau President, who guided members through the annual business session. During the meeting, members reviewed and voted on proposed policy recommendations that addressed local, state, and national agricultural concerns. Participants also elected trustees to serve on the county board and selected delegates who will represent Noble County at the 2027 Ohio Farm Bureau Annual Meeting.
Before the business session began, attendees enjoyed a meal catered by Hog Hollow BBQ, providing an opportunity for members to connect and discuss issues impacting agriculture in the region.
Several important policy topics were highlighted during the meeting. Discussions focused on protecting waterways, defending surface owner rights, and increasing awareness about poison hemlock and other noxious weeds. These issues continue to be important for farmers and landowners as they work to maintain productive farms and protect natural resources.
Members also emphasized the value of the local Ohio State University Extension office and the important role it plays in serving the community. The Extension office was recognized for providing educational programs, outreach efforts, and practical resources that help farmers, landowners, and residents stay informed about agricultural developments and best management practices.
A special portion of the evening was dedicated to recognizing individuals who have made significant contributions through their service and volunteer efforts. Board attendance awards were presented to Don Archer, Jason Feldner, Gladys Saling, Clair Schockling, Mattea Schockling, Duane Weisend, and Chris Wells for their commitment and participation.
Volunteer service was highlighted as a key part of Farm Bureau’s success. Speaking about the importance of community involvement, Miranda Miser, organization director, said, "Farm Bureau depends on volunteers to accomplish our goals and policies. Noble County is very blessed with dedicated people to serve on their Board of Trustees and as membership volunteers."
The annual meeting demonstrated the organization’s commitment to representing local agricultural interests while encouraging member participation in policy development and leadership. Through discussions, elections, and recognition of outstanding service, the event reinforced the important role that Farm Bureau plays in supporting agriculture and rural communities.
