The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Office of Coastal Management will be relocating its headquarters from its current location on Pierce Street in Sandusky to the Old Woman Creek National Estuarine Research Reserve (NERR) in Huron. As of July 1, the Office of Coastal Management will be located at 2514 Cleveland Road E, Huron.
The Office of Coastal Management manages two state-federal partnership programs focused on improving Ohio's Lake Erie coastal resources: Old Woman Creek NERR and the Ohio Coastal Management Program.
The Ohio Coastal Management Program was federally approved in 1997 and provides grants, technical assistance, outreach, and management of coastal resources along Ohio's 312-mile Lake Erie shore. Old Woman Creek NERR is part of a national network of 30 State-Federal partnership coastal reserves that address state and regional coastal management needs through research, education, and stewardship.
