Ohio Farm Bureau Interns Showcase Agriculture at State Fair

By Andi Anderson

Four college students from across Ohio are spending their summer promoting agriculture through the Ohio Farm Bureau’s internship program. Since mid-May, they have been working on the imagine Ag exhibit at the new Ohio Agriculture Center at the Ohio State Fair while also serving as counselors for ExploreAg camps.

Delaney Bell, from Muskingum County, is an incoming sophomore at The Ohio State University, majoring in agribusiness and applied economics with minors in leadership studies and public policy.

A former Tri-Valley High School student-athlete, Bell was actively involved in 4-H and FFA. At Ohio State, she participates in several student organizations, including Saddle and Sirloin, Agricultural Communicators of Tomorrow, Sigma Alpha Professional Agricultural Sorority, and Collegiate Farm Bureau.

Leila Jacox, a Warren County native, is a senior at Ohio State pursuing a degree in agricultural business.

She previously earned an associate degree in science from Ohio State ATI in Wooster and has hands-on experience in livestock production and grain bin operations.

Aidan Stammen, from Franklin County, is an incoming sophomore at Bowling Green State University, where he is studying resort and attraction management.

A 2025 graduate of Grove City High School, he has served as an Ohio Farm Bureau ambassador at the Ohio State Fair in both 2024 and 2025.

Kathleen (Katie) Woodruff, a native of Huron County, is pursuing a degree in agriscience education at Ohio State, along with minors in production agriculture and agribusiness.

Raised on her family’s row crop farm, Woodruff developed a strong connection to agriculture through years of involvement in 4-H and FFA. She is also active in multiple College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences organizations and serves as a peer mentor.

Together, the four interns are helping educate the public about Ohio agriculture while gaining valuable leadership and professional experience.
