The Ohio Farm Bureau Federation is now accepting applications for its AgriPOWER leadership and advocacy development program for the year 2023. This program is designed for farmers and agribusiness professionals who want to enhance their leadership and advocacy skills in the food industry.
The AgriPOWER program consists of seven multi-day institutes, totaling 17 days, with a focus on public issues that impact the industry. Topics include consumer relations, regulations, energy, and trade policies. Participants will have the opportunity to learn from experts in these fields and develop the skills necessary to become effective leaders and advocates for agriculture.
Two of the institutes will be held out of state, in Washington, D.C., and another location yet to be determined, to provide participants with a valuable understanding of national and global issues.
Individuals can nominate themselves or be sponsored by their county Farm Bureau, other agricultural organizations, or employer. Applicants must be Farm Bureau members, and the deadline to apply is August 1, 2023.
