Ohio Proud Celebrates 30 Years of Promoting Ohio-Made Products

The Ohio Proud program was created in 1993 to help consumers identify and purchase food and agriculture products made and grown in Ohio. The program is a partnership between the ODA and Ohio businesses that produce and sell Ohio-made products.

There are currently more than 350 partners in the Ohio Proud program, including fruit and vegetable growers, meat processors, dairy and cheese makers, snack food companies, bath, and body care products, and more.

Products that carry the Ohio Proud logo must meet certain standards, such as being made or grown in Ohio with at least 51% Ohio-sourced ingredients. The logo is a guarantee that the product is made with high-quality ingredients and supports Ohio’s economy.

The Ohio Proud program is a valuable resource for consumers who want to support local farmers and food processors. By purchasing Ohio Proud products, consumers can be sure that they are getting high-quality products that support the state’s economy.

The Ohio Proud program is celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2023. To celebrate, the ODA is hosting a series of events throughout the year. The events will highlight the many benefits of buying Ohio Proud products.

One of the events is a birthday celebration that took place during the Ohio State Fair on August 1st. The celebration featured food, music, and activities that celebrated Ohio’s food and agriculture industry.

The Ohio Proud program is a great way to support Ohio’s economy and its farmers and food processors. By purchasing Ohio Proud products, consumers can be sure that they are getting high-quality products that support the state’s economy.
