By Andi Anderson

The 2026 Ohio State Fair continues to bring together entertainment, agriculture, education, and family activities, offering visitors a wide range of attractions and events throughout its 12-day celebration.

One of the featured events is Fran's Kitchen with Ohio First Lady Fran DeWine. During special cooking demonstrations, she teaches young participants how to make pizza from scratch using Ohio-grown ingredients. The program combines cooking education with storytelling, creating an engaging experience for children and families.

Music lovers can also enjoy a major performance by the Grammy Award-winning duo for KING + COUNTRY, who will take the stage at the WCOL Celeste Center. The concert is one of the fair's headline entertainment events and is expected to attract visitors from across the state.

In addition to ticketed performances, the fair features a full schedule of free entertainment. Guests can enjoy live music, comedy acts, juggling performances, magic shows, percussion groups, and appearances by the All-Ohio State Fair Band and Youth Choir. These performances take place throughout the fairgrounds, providing entertainment options for visitors of all ages.

Agriculture remains a key highlight of the Ohio State Fair. Livestock competitions throughout the day showcase the dedication and hard work of youth and agricultural exhibitors. Swine and sheep shows, along with sheep-shearing demonstrations, provide visitors with opportunities to learn more about animal agriculture and livestock management.

Visitors can also explore the Ohio Agriculture Center, which offers educational exhibits highlighting modern farming, food production, and Ohio agriculture. Additional attractions include the Ohio Proud Showcase, the OVMA Animal Life & Learning Center, guided barn tours, and interactive agricultural displays designed to educate and inspire guests.

Families looking for recreation and fun can enjoy popular attractions across the fairgrounds. Activities include pig races, glassblowing demonstrations, interactive play areas, amusement rides, the Ohio Children's Carousel, and the Ohio Lottery SkyGlider. Natural Resources Park offers outdoor experiences such as kayaking, fishing activities, lumberjack shows, and falconry demonstrations.

The fair also celebrates Ohio's culture and food through exhibits and local dining experiences. Visitors can explore the Ohio Showcase Building, discover the Shaping Ohio Exhibit, and enjoy products and cuisine from various regions of the state.

Running from July 29 through Aug. 9, the Ohio State Fair continues to serve as one of the state's largest annual events. By combining agriculture, education, livestock exhibitions, entertainment, and family-friendly attractions, the fair provides an enjoyable and informative experience that highlights Ohio's communities, traditions, and agricultural heritage.
