Women in Ag Tech Returns to Empower Ag Leaders in 2025

Women in Ag Tech Returns to Empower Ag Leaders in 2025

By Andi Anderson

Women in Ag Tech (WiAT) will return to Tech Hub LIVE 2025 on July 21 in Des Moines, Iowa, bringing an afternoon of empowering sessions for women in agriculture and technology.

Held from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the Iowa Events Center, the event aims to equip women with tools, insights, and support to lead the future of ag tech.

Now in its third year, WiAT continues to be a key part of Tech Hub LIVE. Hosted by Meister Media Worldwide, the event features professionals from fields like precision farming, ag retail, research, financial services, and crop management.

Susan Olson, Ph.D., a former aerospace engineer and ag tech entrepreneur, will open the event with a keynote on AI, sensors, and how women can lead innovations in agriculture.

The agenda includes a panel on solving tech adoption barriers with insights from Jessica Wedow (University of Illinois), Tami Craig Schilling (Bayer Crop Science), and Jennifer Clarke (University of Nebraska-Lincoln). They will focus on closing data gaps and strengthening ag tech infrastructure.

Corteva’s Sarah Canada will share how agricultural innovation moves from idea to implementation. A special session on farm credit and insurance, led by Kelly Miller (Agri-Access) and Lindsey Ross (Burns Insurance), will explore how tech tools are reshaping lending and underwriting.

Iowa farmer April Hemmes will lead an open Q&A, while attendees will also join the Tigress Teams Activity, offering group coaching on leadership, legal skills, and networking, led by professionals like Stephanie Copley and Billi Hunt.

WiAT 2025 is supported by sponsors like Corteva, Agri-Access, and Faegre Drinker. The event focuses on providing both practical skills and personal empowerment to help women lead in ag tech.

Tickets are $199 with Tech Hub LIVE registration or $299 for WiAT only. Learn more at techhublive.com/women-in-ag-tech.
