The Ohio Farm Bureau Foundation is offering multiple scholarships for Ohio students from rural, suburban, and urban areas pursuing degrees connected to agriculture. These opportunities aim to inspire the next generation of agricultural leaders.

Applications must be submitted online by March 31, 2025, at ofbf.org/foundation/scholarships.

The foundation administers 15 scholarship funds, offering nearly 50 awards.

Highlights include:

  • David E. Mizer Memorial Scholarship: A renewable $3,000 scholarship for students from specific Ohio counties pursuing degrees in agriculture-related fields.
  • Yvonne Lesicko Memorial Scholarship: Supports students in agricultural policy, food production, and leadership.
  • Bill and Helen Swank Scholarship: Honours the legacy of Dr. C. William Swank, supporting students enhancing partnerships between producers and consumers.
  • Bruce and Carlene Patterson Agricultural Scholarship: Provides perpetual financial support for students in agricultural careers.
  • Cindy Hollingshead Scholarship: Assists students pursuing agriculture, community service, or association leadership careers.

Other scholarships include the Darwin Bryan Scholarship for Farm Bureau youth, the Mularcik Welding Scholarship for skilled trades, and the Dr. David A. Benfield Scholarship for students in livestock and crop sciences.

Each program supports students pursuing careers in agriculture, food science, environmental policy, and skilled trades. Several scholarships, like the Patterson and Mizer scholarships, are renewable, providing sustained financial support.
