Greene County Farm Bureau Announces Cecil Huston Scholarship

By Andi Anderson

Greene County Farm Bureau is now accepting applications for the Cecil Huston Scholarship for the 2026–2027 academic year.

The organization will award one scholarship valued at $1500 to a student who demonstrates strong involvement in agriculture and plans to pursue a degree in an agricultural field.

This scholarship program reflects the Farm Bureau’s continued commitment to supporting education and encouraging young leaders in agriculture. Students who are active in agriculture related activities such as FFA, 4-H, farm work, or other community programs are encouraged to apply.

The goal is to assist individuals who show dedication to the agricultural industry and who plan to contribute to its future.

To be eligible, applicants must be active members of the Greene County Farm Bureau. Students may also qualify if a parent, grandparents, or legal guardians hold active membership. This requirement helps strengthen the connection between Farm Bureau families and agricultural education.

Completed applications must be submitted by April 5, 2026. After reviewing applications, selected candidates will participate in virtual interviews scheduled for April 15. Those chosen for interviews will be contacted directly by the Farm Bureau office with further details.

Students interested in applying must complete the application through the provided online link. For additional information about eligibility requirements or the application process, applicants may contact the Greene County Farm Bureau office by phone at 937-382-4407 or by email at greene@ofbf.org. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Through this scholarship opportunity, Greene County Farm Bureau continues to invest in the next generation of agricultural professionals and strengthen the future of farming and rural communities.
