July 27 is the first day of the Ohio State Fair. Starting at 10 a.m., enjoy plenty of activities, entertainment, food, and rides the whole family will love on Pepsi presents WSYX/WTTE Opening Day!
Here's what people can find at the Fair today:
Opening Ceremony: Celebrate the Ohio State Fair's 167th year with an opening ceremony and ribbon cutting at 10 a.m. at Cardinal Gate. In case of rain, the event will be held in Kasich Hall A. In attendance will be Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and Ohio Expo Center & State Fair General Manager Virgil Strickler to provide opening remarks. The All-Ohio State Fair Band & Youth Choir and other entertainers will conclude the ceremony with musical performances.
Free Live Music: Catch the following musicians performing on the Ohio State Fair's free entertainment stages and beyond:
- Jess Kellie Adams is at the AARP Gazebo Stage at Noon and 2 p.m. This Texas-born, Ohio-raised, Nashville-living country artist is excited to share her original hits with one of the places she calls home.
- The Jay Wiley Band performs rock music this evening at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on the Main Street Stage.
All the way from Germany, Jazz Police Olsberg will perform two shows on the south side of the Taft Coliseum, Central Park, starting at 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. alongside local musicians.
