New Program to Connect Ohio Producer to Communities in Need



The Ohio Department of Agriculture (ODA) will introduce Ohio CAN – Communities + Agriculture + Nutrition - a program that provides food to those in need from traditionally under resourced regional producers.

Join ODA and its partners - the Ohio Association of Foodbanks and the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) – as they kick off Ohio CAN Dec. 15 at 10 a.m. at the Mid-Ohio Food Collective, 3960 Brookham Dr., Grove City.

Attending the launch will be Tracy Intihar, ODA assistant director; Lisa Hamler-Fugitt, Ohio Association of Foodbanks executive director; Matt Habash, Mid-Ohio Food Collective president and CEO; Michelle Ajamian, Shagbark Seed & Mill Principal and Appalachian Staple Foods Collaborative Network manager; and representatives of Ohio Department of Job and Family Services.
