The Ohio State Fair has announced its second major entertainment act for the 2026 Fair, revealing that Alison Krauss and Union Station featuring Jerry Douglas will perform on Saturday, August 1.
The group will bring their Arcadia 2026 tour to Columbus as part of a celebrated return to national touring. Additional concerts for the Fair will be announced throughout the winter.
For nearly forty years, Alison Krauss and Union Station have remained one of the most respected and influential groups in bluegrass and roots music.
Their sound blends elements of country, folk, rock, and pop in a way that has earned both critical praise and a dedicated global fan base. In 2025, the group released their long-awaited album Arcadia, their first studio project since the Grammy Award–winning Paper Airplane in 2011.
Paper Airplane debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard country, bluegrass, and folk charts, and the new album continues their tradition of high-quality musicianship.
The group’s touring history includes sold-out performances at world-famous venues such as Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Radio City Music Hall, The Greek Theatre, and London’s Royal Festival Hall.
They also supported Paul Simon during his 2012 Graceland reunion concert in Hyde Park. Their 2026 tour promises to celebrate both new music and their long-standing artistry.
The band includes Alison Krauss on fiddle and lead vocals, Jerry Douglas on Dobro and lap steel, Ron Block on banjo and guitar, Barry Bales on bass, and tenor vocalist Russell Moore on guitar and mandolin.
Each member maintains a successful solo career, yet together they create a unified and celebrated sound. The group also shares a special connection to Ohio, as Jerry Douglas grew up in Warren, Ohio.
Tickets for the August 1 performance will go on sale this winter, with prices set at $62 and $52. Advanced concert tickets include admission to the Ohio State Fair, allowing guests to enjoy rides, food, exhibits, entertainment, and agricultural displays before the show. All paid concerts are held in the air-conditioned WCOL Celeste Center.
The 2026 Ohio State Fair will run from July 29 to August 9. More details, including ticket information, can be found at ohiostatefair.com or by calling the Ohio Expo Center.
