The Ohio State University Extension in Hardin County is offering a one hour agriculture and natural resources program designed to help local residents learn more about important topics related to farming, land management, and environmental stewardship.
This educational session will take place on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Extension office located at 1021 West Lima Street in Kenton, Ohio.
The goal of the program is to provide community members with clear and helpful information that supports better decision making on farms and in home landscapes. Extension programs often cover topics such as soil health, crop production, livestock care, water management, and sustainable practices.
These topics help participants understand how to manage natural resources responsibly while improving productivity and long term environmental health.
This session is open to anyone interested in agriculture, including farmers, homeowners, students, and individuals who want to learn more about natural resource management in their community.
Because Extension programs are designed to be practical and easy to understand, participants can expect guidance that they can apply directly to their own situations.
Registration is required for this event, and attendees must sign up by Monday, January 26, 2026. Class size is limited to 30 people because of space constraints at the Extension office.
Limiting attendance helps ensure that each participant receives personal attention, can ask questions comfortably, and benefits fully from the session.
Those who attend will gain insights into local agriculture, current challenges, and helpful resources offered by the Extension office.
By supporting educational programs like this, the Extension helps strengthen community knowledge, encourage sustainable practices, and build stronger connections between residents and the agricultural systems that support daily life.
This program provides a simple yet meaningful way for individuals to learn more about agriculture and natural resources in Hardin County. It offers practical knowledge, expert guidance, and an opportunity to connect with others who share an interest in supporting healthy land and productive farms.
