Marlene Eick leads Ohio Farm Bureau

Marlene Eick of Wooster has been named the Senior Director of Leadership Development for the Ohio Farm Bureau.

In this role, Eick will manage the leadership development team responsible for AgriPOWER, Young Agricultural Professionals, Youth Pathways, and Ag Literacy programs. Additionally, she will plan and oversee other leadership development activities and events.

Eick brings a wealth of experience to this position, having been actively involved with the Ohio Farm Bureau’s leadership and professional growth opportunities.

She has served as president of the Wayne County Farm Bureau Board of Trustees and has won the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation Excellence in Agriculture Award. Eick is also a proud graduate of Ohio Farm Bureau’s AgriPOWER Class VI.

Before joining the Ohio Farm Bureau, Eick was the Director of Marketing and Communications for Ohio Corn & Wheat. There, she led communications and membership efforts and provided leadership development training for board members and prospective leaders using her certification with Maxwell Leadership.

Eick's career also includes extensive work as a leadership coach and consultant. She has facilitated leadership and professional development training for various local, state, and national organizations and has served on the Ohio FFA Foundation Board of Trustees.

Raised on a family farm in Hancock County, Eick now resides in Wayne County with her husband, B.J. She holds a bachelor’s degree in agricultural and extension education from The Ohio State University and a master’s degree in agricultural education and communication from the University of Florida.

The Ohio Farm Bureau, the state’s largest and most inclusive farm and food membership organization, works to advance agriculture and strengthen communities.

With Eick’s appointment, the organization aims to continue its mission of supporting Ohio farmers through enhanced leadership development.
