New NRCS Certification in Agriculture

The USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) has collaborated with the Texas Corn Producers (TCP) to create a new certification program called the "NRCS Fundamentals of Conservation & Sustainability in Agriculture Certification." This certification is now available on the iCEV Testing Platform and is designed to verify that individuals have exceptional knowledge and skills in the areas of conservation and sustainability of natural resources such as soil, water, air, plants, and animals.

• NRCS's Role: As the primary private lands conservation agency within the USDA, NRCS is responsible for generating, managing, and sharing data, technology, and standards that support informed decisions related to land conservation. The certification curriculum is based on NRCS research, scientific information, and best management practices.
