The Ohio Department of Agriculture says it currently has no reason to believe crops planted in soil in the East Palestine area are not safe for consumption.
A meeting is being planned for farmers in the East Palestine area with the Ohio Department of Agriculture.
The meeting will take place Thursday, March 9 at 2 p.m. at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church Education Building (251 S Broadway Ave in Salem).
The agency said the meeting would be a roundtable discussion with farmers about the upcoming planting season.
