Roy D. Norman Appointed as Senior Organization Director and Policy Specialist for Ohio Farm Bureau

Roy D. Norman of Wauseon has been appointed as the senior organization director and policy specialist for Ohio Farm Bureau, specifically serving members in Defiance, Fulton, Henry, and Williams counties. This appointment is part of a pilot project launched across 12 northwest Ohio county Farm Bureaus, aimed at testing an alternative field staff structure to better cater to member needs.

Drawing from his extensive 32-year tenure with the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation, Norman brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new role. Having grown up on a small grain, hay, and livestock farm in Norwalk, Ohio, Norman possesses firsthand knowledge of the challenges and opportunities faced by farmers today. In addition to his operational responsibilities on his own farm, he has been an active 4-H advisor for over three decades, demonstrating his commitment to youth development in agriculture.

Norman's primary focus will be on providing Ohio Farm Bureau members with valuable opportunities to collaborate with policymakers and community leaders, working together to advance the interests of Ohio agriculture and foster a favorable business environment. By facilitating meaningful engagement, Norman aims to strengthen the bond between farmers, policymakers, and the community at large.

With his diverse involvement in organizations such as the Pettisville Business Association, OSU Extension Advisory Committee, Fulton County Farm Bureau, Ohio Cattlemen's Association, Ohio State University Alumni Association, and Pettisville FFA, Norman is well-positioned to navigate the complex landscape of agricultural policy and advocate for the interests of Ohio farmers.
