Ohio Department of Agriculture Initiates H2Ohio Enrollment Kickoff Event in Putnam County
Ohio Ag Connection - 09/15/2023

The Ohio Department of Agriculture (ODA) is set to host an informative kickoff event for the enrollment of the H2Ohio program in Putnam County. This program, which initially covered 14 counties within the Maumee River Watershed, focuses on encouraging producers to enroll acreage into scientifically proven best management practices (BMPs). These practices play a crucial role in improving water quality in Lake Erie and various other water bodies.

The agenda for the event includes an exciting visual demonstration conducted by Midwest Air, LLC, showcasing aerial cover crop seeding. This demonstration underscores the innovative approaches and technologies that are being employed to advance the goals of the H2Ohio program.
