The Ohio Farm Bureau will present the Little Farmers Exhibit at the 2025 Ohio State Fair, offering an exciting way for young children to learn about agriculture.
Designed for children ages 3 to 10, the exhibit features interactive, hands-on activities to teach the basics of both crop and animal farming.
Located in Central Park, just south of the Taft Coliseum, the exhibit will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., weather permitting, and is included with fair admission.
As children move from station to station, they will collect items that they’ll later “sell” at the final farmers market station. After completing the journey, each child will receive a prize, adding fun motivation to their learning experience.
Animal agriculture will be highlighted using life-size models of sheep, chickens, swine, dairy cows, and beef cattle. At each animal station, children will explore the different products these animals provide and learn how farmers care for their livestock.
In addition to animals, crop education is part of the experience. Kids will stop by a grain bin station to discover Ohio’s top commodities, such as corn and soybeans, and will get to plant a seed in a garden-themed station to better understand how plants grow.
The goal of Little Farmers is to give children and families a better understanding of where food, clothing, and other daily necessities come from—directly from farms.
Join the Ohio Farm Bureau at the 170th Ohio State Fair, running July 23 to August 3, and enjoy an unforgettable agricultural experience that helps connect kids to Ohio’s farming roots.
