Axe Throwing Showdown for Young Ag Leaders

Axe Throwing Showdown for Young Ag Leaders

By Andi Anderson

Young Agricultural Professionals from four counties are organizing an Axe Throwing Showdown on March 28, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at The Copper Irons in Bucyrus. This event is designed for members to connect, learn about leadership opportunities, and engage in friendly competition.

Attendees will get insights into the Young Ag Professionals (YAP) program, which offers leadership development, networking events, and competitions such as the Winter Leadership Experience, the FUSION conference, and various contests.

The cost is $10 for members and $20 for non-members. However, members who bring a non-member will receive a 50% discount on their entry fee. The event is BYOB, with pizza and soft drinks provided. In addition to axe throwing, guests can enjoy darts, air hockey, foosball, arcade games, a pool table, and a claw machine.

Reservations are required by March 24, with payment (cash or check) due at the door. Pre-payment options are available by calling 419-747-7488. Interested participants can register online, call the provided number, or email richland@ofbf.com.

This event is supported by Farm Credit Mid-America through a local young leader grant, which also sponsors statewide YAP competitions and leadership experiences. The Young Agricultural Professionals program, open to members aged 18-35, provides opportunities for growth through leadership training, conferences, and contests.
