Central Ohio Farm Bureau seeks Women in Ag Award nominations

Central Ohio Farm Bureau seeks Women in Ag Award nominations

By Andi Anderson

The Central Ohio Farm Bureau is calling for nominations for its annual Women in Agriculture Award, which honors women who have significantly contributed to agriculture and their local communities.

This award, presented by the Women in Ag Committee, highlights the achievements of women making a meaningful impact in the agricultural sector.

Last year’s recipient, Denise Johnson, was celebrated for her outstanding contributions. This year, the committee is eager to find and recognize another deserving individual. Recommendations from county Farm Bureaus are crucial in identifying qualified candidates.

The nomination process is simple and inclusive. There are no application forms or strict criteria to follow. To nominate someone, submit a detailed letter outlining the nominee’s background, accomplishments, and contributions to their community and agriculture. The more information provided, the better equipped the committee will be to make its decision.

Nominations should be sent to Melinda Lee at mlee@ofbf.org by Thursday, January 30, 2025.

The Women in Agriculture Award serves as an excellent opportunity to celebrate the efforts and dedication of women who inspire change and development in their communities and the agricultural industry. Don’t miss the chance to recognize a remarkable woman who exemplifies leadership and excellence in agriculture.

For further details or inquiries, contact the Central Ohio Farm Bureau. Celebrate the women shaping the future of agriculture by participating in this meaningful recognition program.
