An update on the dairy industry and how it has evolved over the years to meet ever-changing consumers will be featured at the March Agribusiness Forum hosted by CIFT.
American Dairy Association (ADA) representatives Scott Higgins, president and CEO, and Tracy Enslen, vice president of business development, will speak on March 21 at 8:30 a.m. at the Northwest Ohio Cooperative Kitchen (NOCK), 13737 Middleton Pike, Bowling Green.
Register for the in-person event on the CIFT website.
Higgins and Enslen will share how the dairy industry continues to serve communities with fresh, safe and nutritious dairy foods through hard work, marketing, education and continuous improvement. They also will talk about how the dairy industry’s investment in innovation and environmental stewardship is shaping the future through collaboration toward a brighter, more sustainable dairy industry.
ADA Mideast is a farmer-funded dairy promotion program that serves dairy farmers in Ohio and West Virginia. It is the local affiliate of the National Dairy Council and Dairy Management Inc.
Higgins, who grew up on an Ohio dairy farm, joined the organization upon graduation from Ohio State University in 1984 and became the CEO in 1986. In 2005, he was named CEO of ODPA, the advocacy organization for dairy farmers on legislative, regulatory and policy issues that affect Ohio’s dairy farm families.
