The Ohio State University College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences (CFAES) is proud to announce the recipients of its prestigious Distinguished Senior Award. This honor is bestowed upon 23 exceptional seniors who have demonstrated exemplary academic achievements, leadership qualities, and contributions to their communities.
"We are thrilled to recognize these outstanding individuals for their remarkable accomplishments during their time at The Ohio State University," said Ann D. Christy, CFAES professor and associate dean for academic programs. "Their dedication to academic excellence, leadership, and service embodies the mission of our college, and we are confident they will continue to make significant impacts in their future endeavors."
The Distinguished Seniors represent a diverse range of academic units and majors, hailing from various hometowns across Ohio and beyond. Among them are scholars from departments such as Agricultural Communication, Education, and Leadership; Animal Sciences; Food, Agricultural and Biological Engineering; Food Science and Technology; and many more.
These exceptional students have excelled not only in their academic pursuits but also in their commitment to service, research, and innovation. Their achievements reflect the values and mission of CFAES, highlighting the college's dedication to excellence in education and leadership development.
The recipients of the Distinguished Senior Award will be celebrated through various platforms, including social media, professional networking platforms, and an exclusive reception hosted by Ann D. Christy and Cathann A. Kress, Ohio State vice president for agricultural administration and CFAES dean. The reception will take place on Thursday, April 4, at the Nationwide & Ohio Farm Bureau 4-H Center, followed by an online celebration via a YouTube video release.
