OSU Extension, Morrow County Farm Bureau, and the Morrow Soil and Water Conservation District are hosting a two-session workshop designed to help farm families plan for the future transition of their farm’s ownership, management, and assets.
This program is ideal for families looking to engage in meaningful conversations about the long-term future of their farm operations.
The workshop will take place at the AgCredit Building, 5362 US HWY 42, Mt. Gilead, Ohio. Session 1 is scheduled for March 18, 2026, and Session 2 will be held on March 26, 2026.
Each session runs from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., with dinner served at 5:30 p.m. Participants are encouraged to attend both sessions to gain the full benefit of the program.
Topics covered in the workshop include developing legacy goals, planning for management transition, preparing for unexpected events, communication and conflict management, legal tools and strategies, building your support team, getting affairs in order, and selecting an attorney.
Registration fees are $35 for one person or $50 for two attendees and include dinner and course materials.
