U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke L. Rollins signed the World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates (WASDE) report, a crucial monthly release by the USDA’s World Agricultural Outlook Board (WAOB).
The report provides detailed forecasts on the global and U.S. supply and use of major crops such as wheat, rice, oilseeds, coarse grains, and cotton.
The WASDE report is widely respected for its timely and unbiased analysis. It plays a major role in helping farmers, market analysts, and agri-businesses make informed decisions about production and exports.
“American agriculture leads the world and the agricultural industry relies on the gold standard statistics and analysis in USDA reports. Alongside this, Secretary Rollins reinstated two key reports that were previously cancelled—the July Cattle Report and the County Estimates for Crops and Livestock.
These include data on corn, cotton, rice, soybeans, peanuts, and sorghum, essential for planning and operations.
These actions reinforce the USDA’s commitment to supporting American agriculture by ensuring timely, accurate, and practical data is always available.
With the return of these reports, farmers and ranchers now regain access to the information they need to guide their businesses effectively.
