Charlie Staples Bar-B-Que Recalls Adulterated Sauces



Charlie Staples Bar-B-Que is issuing a voluntarily recall of its Charlie Staples "Real" Original and Hot BBQ Sauce sold in 20 oz. glass jars. The products included in this recall are adulterated because they were produced without the benefit of inspection and the safety parameters were not able to be verified.

No reports of illness involving these products have been reported. However individuals exhibiting signs or symptoms of foodborne illness should contact a physician immediately.

Products were available for sale from March 6, 2020, through February 21, 2023, at Charlie Staples Bar-B-Que, 372 W. Rayen Avenue in Youngstown. The issue was discovered during a routine inspection conducted by the Ohio Department of Agriculture (ODA). Anyone who purchased these products between March 6, 2020 and February 21, 2023 should dispose of them or return them to the following address for a replacement or refund:
