Craig Pohlman of Venedocia has recently been appointed to the seven-member Ohio Farm Bureau Health Benefits Plan (HBP) Board of Trustees. Pohlman, along with his wife Sheila, raises corn, soybeans, and grain sorghum, contributing significantly to Ohio’s agricultural community.

A dedicated member of the Van Wert County Farm Bureau for 19 years, Pohlman also serves on the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation Board of Trustees, representing members in Allen, Paulding, Putnam, and Van Wert counties.

His extensive experience in farming and his active involvement in the Farm Bureau make him a valuable addition to the HBP Board.

The Ohio Farm Bureau Health Benefits Plan is designed to offer flexible and high-quality health coverage tailored for sole proprietors and small businesses within Ohio’s agricultural sector.

Currently, over 756 farms and small businesses benefit from this plan, providing health coverage to approximately 3,700 employees and their family members.

The Ohio Farm Bureau aims to support farmers and advance agriculture while strengthening communities across the state.

The inclusion of Craig Pohlman on the HBP Board of Trustees aligns with this mission, ensuring that the health coverage needs of Ohio’s agricultural community are met effectively.

Pohlman’s appointment is a strategic move to enhance the quality and reach of the health benefits plan, reflecting the Farm Bureau’s commitment to its members.
