Bob Evans Farms recently contributed $115,000 to the Ohio Farm Bureau Foundation, marking a commitment to supporting Ohio's agricultural future.
This donation reflects the company's dedication to agriculture and a partnership that has lasted over a decade. This gift will directly benefit Ohio’s youth, encouraging them to explore agricultural careers through educational initiatives.
Kelly Burns, executive director of the Ohio Farm Bureau Foundation, expressed gratitude for the continuous support from Bob Evans Farms. Burns noted that partnerships like this one help the foundation run innovative programs that inspire the next generation of agricultural leaders.
One of the key programs benefiting from this contribution is the ExploreAg program, which was launched in 2018 and has received consistent support from Bob Evans Farms.
The ExploreAg program offers high school students weeklong and daylong immersive experiences, where they learn about agriculture and STEM fields from industry experts and educators.
Participants tour locations such as Bob Evans Farms, manufacturers like John Deere, and research labs at universities including Ohio State and Wilmington College.
Devra Cornell, Chief Human Resources Officer at Bob Evans Farms, emphasized the shared commitment to Ohio’s agriculture and food community. Cornell highlighted that the partnership with the Ohio Farm Bureau Foundation enables sustainable agricultural development by educating youth.
