Michael Wied enhances Texas crop success

Meristem Crop Performance Group, LLC, one of the fastest-growing crop input suppliers in America, has welcomed Michael Wied to its team as a sales representative and dealer coach in western Texas.

Wied, an experienced agribusiness professional, brings a wealth of knowledge from his previous roles at Corteva, Americot, and Indigo. He will now work to bring Meristem’s innovative product portfolio to farmers across Texas.

“We are excited to have Michael Wied on our growing team of all-stars,” said Mitch Eviston, Meristem Founder and CEO. “Michael’s extensive experience in seed and farm business management, combined with his passion for helping farmers succeed, makes him a perfect fit for our mission.”

Wied expressed his enthusiasm for his new role. “I’m really looking forward to introducing Meristem’s biological products to more Texas fields,” he said. “I believe these innovations will lead to the next big leap in yield and sustainability.”

Wied grew up in New Home, Texas, and has deep roots in agriculture. His background includes 11 years at Capital Farm Credit, where he became vice president, and his education includes a degree in agricultural leadership from Texas A&M University.

Wied also participated in the Texas Grain and Feed Emerging Leadership program, gaining valuable insights into agribusiness leadership across the state.

With a strong understanding of both the in-field and financial sides of agriculture, Wied believes Meristem’s mission of helping farmers maximize their investments is perfectly aligned with his own goals. “I’m excited to bring these products to Texas farmers, as they offer more options for better yields,” he said.

Wied emphasized Meristem’s focus on practical solutions, including products like REVLINE HOPPER THROTTLE and UPSHIFT C, which provide convenience and better results for farmers.

Wied and his family live near Lubbock, Texas, where he continues his dedication to agriculture, aiming to help more farmers across the region benefit from Meristem’s innovative crop performance products.
