According to the data, Ohio floriculture producers achieved sales of nearly $244 million in 2022, representing a 10 percent decrease compared to the $269 million recorded in 2021. The total greenhouse space utilized for floriculture crop production in 2022 amounted to 25.2 million square feet, slightly lower than the 25.6 million square feet utilized in the previous year.
The report highlights that 453 Ohio producers generated sales of at least $10,000 from floriculture products in 2022, indicating a decline from the previous year's count of 512 producers. Notably, the reduction in producer numbers was mainly observed within the sales class of $50,000 to $99,999.
