The 2026 Ohio State Organic Grains Conference will take place on January 7 and 8, 2026, at Kalahari Resorts and Conventions in Sandusky, Ohio. Registration for attendees is currently open, and interested participants are encouraged to register early to secure their place at this important learning event.
The conference is designed to support organic grain education and farm management skills. It brings together researchers, educators, students, and agricultural professionals to share knowledge and practical tools related to organic grain production.
The educational program will feature well-known experts from universities and agricultural service organizations. Presentations will cover topics such as soil health, crop rotation, weed management, organic certification practices, marketing strategies, and sustainable farming systems. These sessions are carefully planned to provide useful and easy-to-understand information for people involved in organic grain production.
Participants will have access to three main breakout session tracks. These tracks will focus on agronomic topics, marketing and farm management practices, and current research projects. This structure allows attendees to choose sessions that best match their interests and learning needs.
A special research poster session will also be offered during the conference. This session encourages participation from students, university staff, and research teams who wish to present their work. The poster session will highlight innovative ideas and new findings in organic grain research. Abstract submissions are open until November 15, giving contributors an opportunity to share their studies with a wider audience.
In addition to formal presentations, the conference provides a valuable opportunity for networking. Attendees can connect with peers, exchange ideas, and build relationships that support learning and collaboration across the organic agriculture community.
The Ohio State Organic Grains Conference continues to grow in importance each year as interest in organic farming increases. This two-day event helps strengthen organic agriculture by offering updated research, practical guidance, and learning opportunities that encourage long-term sustainability and responsible farm management.
