Ohio Ag Connection - 11/15/2023

In a significant move to support agricultural education and leadership, the CHS Foundation has announced a nearly $4.3 million grant to the National FFA Organization. This grant represents the foundation's largest gift in its 75-year history and a continuation of its strong partnership with the National FFA.

"We are thrilled to continue our partnership with CHS," said Molly Ball, president of the National FFA Foundation and chief marketing officer of the National FFA Organization.

The grant aims to fund FFA programs across 17 states, provide scholarships for students to attend various conferences and contests, and foster workforce development by introducing students of all backgrounds to agricultural careers. It will also support the National Association of Ag Educators in their efforts to attract ag teachers and strengthen teaching programs.

Megan Wolle, president of the CHS Foundation, highlighted the importance of this support for FFA, emphasizing the role of these future leaders in transforming agriculture. The CHS Foundation's commitment is not just a financial contribution but a strategic investment in shaping leadership skills and inspiring students to pursue agricultural careers.

The National FFA Organization, a premier youth leadership development body, comprises over 945,000 student members across 9,163 local chapters in all 50 states, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. This grant marks a pivotal step in supporting and expanding the impactful work of the FFA in agricultural education and leadership development.
