Rain Still Hit or Miss Across Ohio

Milder than usual temperatures and spotty rains spread across the State last week, according to Cheryl Turner, state statistician, USDA, NASS, Ohio Field Office. There were 5.2 days suitable for fieldwork in Ohio during the week ending Sunday.
Corn and soybeans conditions improved slightly from last week although some producers were still badly in need of rain.
Pastures received some needed rain, but still moved from mostly good into mostly fair condition.
Oats harvested remained ahead of the 5-year average. Tobacco began blooming last week.
